Expresses trust in Panthic party over denial of justice: Joins in presence of Bapu Tarsem Singh, says AAP leaders stopped answering phone calls after forming government
Punjab/Faridkot: Pained by the denial of justice by incumbent governments, Sardar Sadhu Singh, father of Bhai Gurjeet Singh Sarawan who was martyred in the Behbal Kalan police firing incident, has joined the political party Akali Dal Waris Punjab De. During a special gathering today, he formally announced his joining in the presence of party national president Bapu Tarsem Singh, 13-member committee senior member Advocate Harpal Singh Khara, Jaitu constituency in-charge Bibi Sandeep Kaur, Faridkot constituency in-charge Daler Singh, and other senior office bearers.
1. Sardar Sadhu Singh levels serious allegations against Aam Aadmi Party:
Speaking on the occasion of joining the party, an emotional Sardar Sadhu Singh said that before the Aam Aadmi Party formed the government, leaders of all ranks from the party used to visit his house regularly and make tall claims of delivering justice in the sacrilege and Behbal Kalan firing cases within 24 hours of coming to power. He said that party national convener Arvind Kejriwal had personally visited his residence and assured him that martyr families would receive complete justice as soon as an AAP government took charge.
He shared that the current Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann used to sit near the cattle manger at his home before elections, having long conversations and taking oaths to fight for justice. But unfortunately, after gaining power, neither the party high command nor Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann ever inquired about their well-being, to the extent that they stopped answering his phone calls. He said that conventional political parties merely played vote-bank politics over the blood of martyrs. He added that he now firmly believes that justice for the martyrs can only be delivered when a government with Panthic ideology led by Akali Dal Waris Punjab De is formed in Punjab.
2. Bapu Tarsem Singh assures delivery of justice:
On this occasion, party president Bapu Tarsem Singh welcomed Sardar Sadhu Singh into the party and assured him that whenever a Panthic government is formed in Punjab, the very first task will be to bring the culprits of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji's sacrilege to book and deliver justice to the families of Behbal Kalan martyrs. He said that the sacrifices made by the martyr families will never be allowed to go in vain.
Ranjodh Singh Bhullar, vice president of Legal Cell Punjab, Karanveer Singh, secretary of Legal Cell Punjab, and several other key party leaders and workers were present at this gathering, welcoming the martyr family's decision.
